چکیده

Flock Fibers In article number 2100766 by Jingwei Xie and co-workers, a new technique for electrostatic flocking is used to create anisotropic structures surfaces regenerative medicine applications. Using this method, electrospun nanofiber mats, 3D-printed meshes, tubes are surface-coated with flock fibers. Such materials evaluated in vitro vivo show promise as tissue engineering scaffolds.

A Wireless Pressure Sensor Integrated with a Biodegradable Polymer Stent for Biomedical Applications

This paper describes the fabrication and characterization of a wireless pressure sensor for smart stent applications. The micromachined pressure sensor has an area of 3.13 × 3.16 mm² and is fabricated with a photosensitive SU-8 polymer. The wireless pressure sensor comprises a resonant circuit and can be used without the use of an internal power source. The capacitance variations caused by chan...

Endothelial cell scaffolds generated by 3D direct writing of biodegradable polymer microfibers.

The engineering of large (thickness > 100 μm) tissues requires a microvascular network to supply nutrients and remove waste. To produce microvasculature in vitro, a scaffold is required to mechanically support and stimulate endothelial cell (EC) adhesion and growth. Scaffolds for ECs are currently produced by patterning polymers or other biomaterials into configurations which often possess isot...
